Charlotte Air National Guard Base is the home base of the North Carolina Air National Guard 145th Airlift Wing.〔(145th Airlift Wing website )〕 ==Overview== Charlotte ANGB at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport is home to the 145th Airlift Wing (145 AW). The unit is one of a select number of Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command C-130 airlift wings employing the Modular Aircraft Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) in support of wildfire suppression operations in the United States. As a North Carolina Air National Guard unit, the 145 AW is "operationally gained" by the Air Mobility Command (AMC) and maintains a worldwide deployment capability in support of both AMC and unified combatant commander tasking.〔 The base is located on the east side of the airport on a 79-acre parcel of highly developed land. There are a total of 41 buildings; 2 administrative, 3 services, and 36 industrial, amounting to approximately 330,000 square feet. The base has no residential or transient housing facilities. Action is now pending to acquire an additional 24 acres from the City of Charlotte for future expansion. Day-to-day activities are managed by 312 full-time personnel. This increases to 1350 personnel during the unit training drills conducted one weekend each month.〔 The ANG Base provides a fully equipped and fully manned USAF aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) station that routinely augments the airport's civilian ARFF organization. This area is still referred to as Morris Field. In the post-9/11 era, access roads have been altered around the military perimeter so that non-military traffic no longer transits through the installation.〔 The base also has two geographically separated units (GSU): Badin Air Guard Station (Badin AGS), and Stanly County Airport Regional Training Center that are located approximately 60 miles northeast of Charlotte ANGB. Projected future mission requirements and a steady increase in the base population at Charlotte ANGB have necessitated the construction of new facilities and the renovation or demolition of older facilities. A new base supply warehouse (34,700 SF) was constructed in 2001.〔 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Charlotte Air National Guard Base」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
